The dua is written in Arabic as:

أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ وَأُحَاذِرُ

Transliteration

A’udhu Billahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajidu wa uhadhir.

Text of the Hadith

Uthman b. Abu al-‘As Al-Thaqafi reported that he made a complaint of pain to Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) that he felt in his body at the time he had become Muslim. Thereupon Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said: Place your hand at the place where you feel pain in your body and say:

– (three times) بِاسْمِ اللَّهِ

Bismillah (In the name of Allaah) and say seven times : –

أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ وَأُحَاذِرُ

A’oudhu Billaahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajidu wa uhaadhir OR (we can even say)

أَعُوذُ بِعِزَّةِ اللَّهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ مِن شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ وَأُحاذِرُ

A’oudhu bi’izzatil-lahi waqudratihi min sharri ma ‘ajidu wa’uhathiru. (I seek refuge with Allaah and with His Capability from the evil that I feel and that i fear.)

Alternatively In the narration of Ibn Majah the wording is:

It was narrated that “Uthman bin Abu l-“As Thaqafi said: “I came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and I was suffering pain that was killing me. The Prophet (ﷺ) said to me: “Put your right hand on it and say (seven times):

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ أَعُوذُ بِعِزَّةِ اللَّهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ وَأُحَاذِرُ

Transliteration: The dua is transliterated as Bismillah, a’udhu bi’izzatil-lahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajidu wa uhadhir.

Meaning: In the Name of Allah, I seek refuge in the might and power of Allah from the evil of what I feel and what I fear,

seven times.‘ I said that, and Allah healed me.” [Ibn Majah 3522, Sahih (Darussalam)
