Sending abundant salah upon the Messenger of Allah (SAW) is a manifestation of our love, reverence, and obedience to him. He was sent as a mercy for mankind and constantly remembered and worried about us.
The Prophet (SAW) wept and invoked Allah, saying, “O Allah! My ummah, my ummah!” Allah sent Jibril with the glad tidings, “Muhammad, surely we will please you in regards to your ummah and we will not cause you grief.” (Muslim)
In every salah, the Prophet (SAW) asked Allah to forgive us. (Ibn Hibbān) He missed us and yearned to see us, saying, “I wish to see my brothers!” When the companions asked if they were not his brothers, he replied, “You are my companions, but my brothers are those who have not yet come into the world. I will welcome them at the Hawdh (fountain).” (Nasa’i)
On the Day of Judgement, while other messengers will say, “Myself, myself,” the Messenger of Allah (SAW) will be given the opportunity to ask and will say, “My ummah, my ummah.” Unlike other messengers who had their exclusive du’a’ accepted for them in this world, the Messenger reserved his du’a’ for us and will intercede for us on the Day of Judgement. (Bukhari)
The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said, “Among the strongest in love for me in my ummah will be those who will come after me. Every one of them will wish to catch a glimpse of me even at the cost
