رَّبِّ أَنزِلْنِى مُنزَلًا مُّبَارَكًا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ ٱلْمُنزِلِينَ
Transliteration
Rabbi anzilnee munzalan mubarakan wa Anta khairul munzileen.
Rabbi Anzilni Munzalan Meaning in English
Rabbi Anzilni means My Lord! Cause me to land at a blessed landing place, for You are the Best of those who bring to land.
The supplication means: ‘My Lord, grant me a blessed landing, filling the place with goodness and blessings. You are the most merciful and capable of guiding us to safety.’
Scholars agree that this verse can be recited when moving into a new home or purchasing a house, invoking Allah’s blessings upon the dwelling.
The early Muslim generations, including the Companions and their followers, would recite this dua when entering their homes, mosques, and gatherings.
Al-Qurtubi emphasized that this verse teaches us to seek Allah’s guidance and blessings during transitions, making it a beautiful and meaningful supplication for various life milestones.
