In Islam, saying dua is a powerful way to ask Allah for help and protection. We say dua to seek Allah’s guidance and blessings in all aspects of life, including our health, wealth, and well-being.

Shaykh Abdur-Razzaq al-Badr Explains the Prophet’s Prayer
When removing clothes, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “Bis-mil-lāh” (In the Name of Allah). This means seeking Allah’s protection from harm and evil beings.
The Prophet’s words are like a shield, protecting us from harm. We shouldn’t add or change his words, as he taught us specific prayers for each occasion.
Just like when performing ablution (Wudoo’) or eating, the Prophet (peace be upon him) used simple words: “Bis-mil-lāh”. But for other occasions, like entering the bathroom or leaving home, he added more words.
This teaches us to follow the Prophet’s exact words, as they come from Allah’s revelation. Allah says in the Quran (53:2-4): “The Prophet doesn’t speak from his own desire, but from Allah’s revelation.”
So, let’s faithfully follow the Prophet’s prayers, knowing they come from Allah’s guidance.
