Dua For Protection From Dajjal

The Prophet (peace be upon him) taught us how to protect ourselves from the false messiah, known as the Dajjal. He provided clear guidance to stay safe from the Dajjal’s deception. Those who ignore this guidance may face trouble.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) warned us about the Dajjal, the biggest trial before the end of the world. He received details about the Dajjal from Allah to alert and prepare his followers.

The Dajjal will certainly appear in this community, as it’s the last one, and Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the final prophet.

Dua Protection From Dajjal

Hadith Text

Narrated from Umm al-Mu’minin ‘Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), the wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to pray in his salah:

“Allahumma inni a’udhu bika min ‘adhab al-qabri, wa a’udhu bika min fitnat il-masih il-dajjal, wa a’idhu bika min fitnat il-mahya wa fitnat il-mamat. Allahumma inni a’udhu bika min al-matham wa’l-maghram

(O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the torment of the grave, I seek refuge with You from the fitnah of the Dajjal, and I seek refuge with You from the trials of life and death. O Allah, I seek refuge with You from sin and debt).”

(Narrated by al-Bukhari)

Protecting Yourself from the Dajjal’s Deception

The Prophet (peace be upon him) provided guidelines to help his followers avoid the Dajjal’s fitnah (trial). Here are some of these guidelines:

  1. Stay true to Islam and learn about Allah’s Names and Attributes, which are unique and unmatched.
  2. Seek refuge with Allah from the Dajjal’s fitnah, especially during prayer.
  3. Memorize verses from Surat al-Kahf, particularly the first or last ten verses, as they mention wonders and signs that can help you avoid deception.
  4. Read Surat al-Kahf regularly, especially on Fridays.
  5. Keep away from the Dajjal when he emerges. If possible, live in Makkah or Madinah, where he will not enter.
  6. Be cautious of the Dajjal’s wonders and signs, which can confuse even strong believers.

Remember, the Dajjal will be a human being with limitations, unlike Allah. By following these guidelines, you can protect yourself from his deception and stay true to your faith.”
