Life can be really hard sometimes, and it may feel like there’s no solution. But praying to Allah for help is a great blessing. When things seem impossible, talking to Allah is our best chance for peace.
Remembering Allah can calm our minds and hearts. Here are some duas from the Quran and Hadiths that can make difficult situations easier and help us feel more peaceful.
1. Dua For Ease in Arabic
The Dua to make your affairs easy in Arabic is:
اللهُمَّ لا سَهْلَ إلا مَا جَعَلتَهُ سَهْلا وَ أنتَ تَجْعَلُ الحزْنَ إذا شِئْتَ سَهْلا
Transliteration
Allahumma la sahla illa ma ja altahu sahla wa anta taj al ul-hazna iza shi’ta sahla.
Dua To Make Things Easy In English
The supplication to make things easy in English is O Allah! There is nothing easy except that which You make easy; and You make the difficult, if You wish, easy.
This dua asks Allah to make things easy for us. It says that only Allah can make things easy, and nothing is easy on its own except what He makes easy.
The dua knows that Allah can change hard situations into easy ones if He wants to. It shows that we rely on Allah to help us and guide us through life’s challenges. We humbly ask for His assistance and trust in His power to make things easy for us.

2. Dua
Another Dua you should recite often when you are in difficulty and need the help of Allah is the Dua of Prophet Musa alayhis salaam from surah Taha. It is a dua you are all familiar with it.
Allah gave prophet Musa with difficult task, and the first thing he did before he started this task is to ask Allah constantly with this Dua to make his tasks easy.
رَبِّ اشْرَحْ لِي صَدْرِي وَيَسِّرْ لِي أَمْرِي
Transliteration: Rabbish rahli sadri wa yassirli amri.
Meaning In English: My Lord, expand for me my breast [with assurance] and ease for me my task.
This dua asks Allah for help in finding peace and confidence. The phrase “Expand my breast” means asking for a sense of relief and calmness, like a weight has been lifted off one’s heart.
“Ease my task” is a request for Allah’s help in making life’s challenges more manageable. Overall, this prayer asks for:
- Inner peace and emotional well-being
- Confidence and reassurance
- Help in making life’s tasks easier to handle
It’s a heartfelt request for Allah’s guidance and support in navigating life’s challenges with ease and confidence.
3. Dua
Another beautifu to recite by one who is distressed or dua to make things easier is:
اللَّهُمَّ رَحْمَتَكَ أَرْجُو فَلاَ تَكِلْنِي إِلَى نَفْسِي طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ وَأَصْلِحْ لِي شَأْنِي كُلَّهُ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ
Transliteration
Allahumma rahmataka arju fala takilni ila nafsi tarfata ’aynin wa aslih li sha’ni kullahu la ilaha ila anta.
Meaning
O Allah, I hope for Your mercy. Do not leave me to myself even for a blink of an eye. Correct all of my affairs for me. There is none worthy of worship except You.
This dua shows a deep trust in Allah’s kindness and asks for His help and guidance. By saying, “O Allah, I hope for Your mercy,” you’re admitting that you need Allah’s compassion and can’t do things alone.
The next part, “Don’t leave me to myself even for a second,” shows that you need Allah’s protection and support always.
The prayer also asks Allah to fix all problems and remembers that only Allah deserves to be worshipped. This dua:
- Admits vulnerability and need for Allah’s help
- Asks for constant divine support and protection
- Seeks Allah’s guidance in all aspects of life
- Recognizes Allah as the only one worthy of worship
It’s a sincere and humble request for Allah’s care and mercy in every part of life.
4. Dua
Another zikr or Dua to recite constantly and consistently according to Sunnah are:
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِين
Transliteration
La Ilaha Illallah Anta Subhanaka Inni Kuntu Minaz Zalimin.
Meaning
There is none worthy of worship except You, Glory to You, Indeed, I have been of the transgressors.
Hadith
From Sa`d that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: The supplication of Dhun-Nun (Prophet Yunus) when he supplicated, while in the belly of the whale was:
‘There is none worthy of worship except You, Glory to You, Indeed, I have been of the transgressors. So indeed, no Muslim man supplicates with it for anything, ever, except Allah responds to him.

So increase the recitation of this amazing invocation and ask Allah to ease your affairs.
5. Dua
حَسْبُنَا اللّٰهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيْلُ
Transliteration: Hasbunallahu Wa Ni’mal Wakeel.
Meaning: Allah (Alone) is Sufficient for us, and He is the Best Disposer of affairs (for us).
This is a powerful dua that was recited by Prophets in times of fear and anxiety which can help removes any harm or any affliction that may burden you.
Ibn ‘Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) said: When (Prophet) Ibrahim (Abraham) was thrown into the fire, he said: “Allah (Alone) is sufficient for us, and, He is the Best Disposer of affairs.”
So did the Messenger of Allah Muhammad (ﷺ) when he was told: “A great army of the pagans had gathered against him, so fear them”. But this (warning) only increased him and the Muslims in Faith and they said: “Allah (Alone) is sufficient for us, and He is the Best Disposer of affairs (for us)”[Al-Bukhari].
6. Dua
لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ الْعَظِيمُ الْحَلِيمُ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ رَبُّ السَّمَوَاتِ وَرَبُّ الأَرْضِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيمِ
Transliteration
La ilaha ill-Allah Al-Athim Al-Halim, la ilaha ill-Allah Rabb Al-Arsh Al-Athim, la ilaha ill-Allah Rabb us-samawati wa Rabb ul-ard wa Rabb ul-Arsh il-karim.
Meaning
There is none worthy of worship but Allah, the All-Powerful, the Forbearing; there is none worthy of worship but Allah, Lord of the mighty Throne; there is none worthy of worship but Allah, Lord of heaven, Lord of earth, and Lord of the noble Throne.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said these are the words of relief are and he used to said it at the time of distress.
7. Dua
يَا حَىُّ يَا قَيُّومُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغِيثُ
Transliteration: Ya Hayyu ya Qayyum bi rahmatika astaghith
Meaning: O Ever-Living. O Sustainer, by Your mercy I seek Your help.
If some matter was troubling the prophet SAW, he would say this dua. According to another report: “If some matter worried him or distressed him.”
8. Dua
اللَّهُ اللَّهُ رَبِّي لاَ أُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئًا
Transliteration: Allahu Allahu Rabbi la ushriku bihi shay’an.
Meaning: Allah is my Lord, I do not associate anything with Him.
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: to Asma’ bint Umays (may Allah be pleased with her),
“Shall I not teach you some words which you can say at times of distress and hardship? Allahu Allahu rabbi la ushriku bihi shay’an (Allah is my Lord, I do not associate anything with Him).’”
(Narrated by Abu Dawud, 1525)
According to a version narrated in Al-Sahih Al-Jami’, “Whoever is afflicted by worry, distress, sickness or hardship, and says, Allahu Allahu rabbi la sharika lah (Allah is my Lord, He has no partner or associate), will be relieved of that.”
Increase repentance (saying Astaghfirullaah and other related phrases) to Allah SWT. The door of ease will be opened to you in Sha Allah.
Send salutations upon the beloved prophet on a regular basis. Sending salaat upon the prophet is one of the best ways that will make your things easy.
When you’re struggling with something and want to overcome your obstacles, turn to Allah (swt) and make dua to make things easy, as He answers all prayers in one way or another.

There are numerous ways to follow in the times of difficulty to make your task easier, this includes
