O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and the exalted Throne, our Lord and Lord of all things, splitter of the seed and the date-stone, Revealer of the Tawraat and the Injeel and the Furqaan [Qur’aan], I seek refuge in You from the evil of all things You shall seize by the forelock [have total mastery over]. O Allah, You are the First so there is nothing before You, and You are the Last so there is nothing after You. You are al-Zaahir [the greatest and highest] so there is nothing above You, and You are al-Baatin [aware of the subtlest secrets] so there is nothing closer than You. Settle our debt for us and spare us from poverty.
Ask Allah for help and be confident that He will answer your prayers. Keep asking, and eventually, your prayers will be answered. Choose special times to pray, like:
- The last third of the night
- Friday afternoons
- Between the call to prayer and the start of prayer
- When traveling
- When breaking your fast
Make your relationship with Allah strong, and He will help you with your relationships with others. Allah promises to give more blessings to those who obey Him.
If you borrowed money intending to pay it back, trust Allah to help you pay your debts. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
- “Allah will help you pay back your debts if you intend to pay them back.” (Al-Bukhari)
- “Allah will be with you until you pay off your debt, as long as it’s not for something He dislikes.” (Ibn Maajah)
