Amma Yatasa Aloon Surah in English
- What are they asking one another about?
- About the great tidings,
- Concerning which they differ.
- Nay; they will come to know.
- Again, nay; they will come to know.
- Have We not spread out the earth,
- And made the mountains as pegs,
- And created you in pairs,
- And made your sleep for rest,
- And made the night a covering,
- And made the day for earning a livelihood,
- And built above you seven firmaments,
- And placed therein a blazing lamp,
- And sent down from the rainclouds water in torrents,
- So that We may bring forth thereby grains and vegetation,
- And gardens dense with foliage?
- Verily the Day of Judgement is a time appointed,
- The day when the Trumpet will be blown and you will come forth in crowds,
- And the heaven will be opened and will become gateways,
- And the mountains will be made to vanish, as if they had been a mirage.
- Verily hell is lying in wait,
- For the transgressors a destination
- In which they will remain for countless aeons,
- During which they will not taste any coolness nor any drink,
- Except scalding water and pus,
- A fitting recompense.
- Indeed they did not fear a reckoning.
- and they rejected Our revelations outright.
- We have kept an account of all things in a Book.
- So taste [the punishment]; We shall not increase you in aught but torment.
- Verily for the righteous there will be salvation,
- Gardens and vineyards,
- And youthful [companions], of equal age,
- And a cup that is full.
- They will not hear therein any vain talk or lies.
- A recompense from your Lord, a generous gift
- [from] the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Most Gracious, Whom they will have no power to address.
- On the day when the Spirit [Jibreel] and the angels stand in rows, none will speak except those to whom the Most Gracious gives permission, and they will say only what is right.
- That day is sure to come. So let him who will seek a way back to his Lord.
- Verily We have warned you of a punishment that is approaching, the day when a man will see what his hands had wrought, and the disbeliever will say: Would that I were mere dust!

Surah An-Naba’ is a chapter of the Quran revealed in Makkah, focusing on life after death, resurrection, and Allah’s final judgment. Its title comes from the word “naba'” in verse two, meaning “news” or “announcement.”
The surah has 40 verses and aims to convince the Makkans of the reality of resurrection, which they found hard to believe.
The surah begins by announcing the Day of Judgment and warning people of its certainty (verses 1-5). It then highlights Allah’s power and creation, arguing that if He can create the universe, He can easily recreate human bodies (verses 6-16).
The surah describes the fate of evildoers in Hellfire (verses 17-30) and contrasts it with the happiness of right-doers in Paradise (verses 31-36).
It concludes by emphasizing Allah’s power and the importance of passing the test of life to avoid regret and punishment (verses 37-40).
The Quran teaches that life after death is a recreation of the human personality, and that all people will rise again. The world will end, and Allah’s judgment will be based on individuals’ willingness to live up to moral standards.
The surah presents evidence of Allah’s power and purpose in creation, urging us to believe in the afterlife and live accordingly.
