Explanation of the Hadith
The Prophet (SAW) sought refuge in Allah from three evils:
- Evil character traits (like being rude, selfish, or cruel) that can lead to many harmful actions and push away good deeds.
- Sinful actions and disobedience (like lying, cheating, or hurting others) that can harm ourselves and others.
- Evil desires (like greed, envy, or lust) that can lead us to make bad choices and commit sins.
By seeking refuge in Allah, the Prophet (SAW) showed us that we should ask Allah to protect us from:
- Internal sins (like bad thoughts or intentions)
- External sins (like harmful actions or words)
