The Day of Resurrection is also known as Al-Qari’ah, the Catastrophe, due to its intense horrors and distressing nature.

Allah emphasizes its significance, asking rhetorically, “What is the Catastrophe? How could you know what it is?”

On that day, people will be like scattered moths, moving aimlessly, overwhelmed by the severity of the catastrophe.

Even the solid mountains will be reduced to flimsy tufts of wool, eventually disappearing into scattered dust.

The balance will be set up, dividing people into two groups: the blessed and the doomed. Those with good deeds outweighing their bad deeds will enjoy a pleasing life in the gardens of bliss.

Conversely, those with lighter good deeds will face the abyss, a blazing hot fire, seventy times hotter than the worldly fire. This emphasizes the gravity of the matter, prompting us to seek refuge with Allah.
