Surah Al-Nasr (Iza ja nasrullah surah) is the 110th chapter of the Quran. It has only 3 short verses and is often read in prayers.

This chapter reminds us that victory and help come from Allah. It teaches us to be thankful and ask for forgiveness.

It was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (SAW) in Mecca, when his mission was almost complete and Islam was spreading.

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

إِذَا جَاءَ نَصْرُ اللَّهِ وَالْفَتْحُ (١) وَرَأَيْتَ النَّاسَ يَدْخُلُونَ فِي دِينِ اللَّهِ أَفْوَاجًا (٢) فَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ وَاسْتَغْفِرْهُ إِنَّهُ كَانَ تَوَّابًا (٣)

Izaa jaa a nasrul Lahi wal fath.
Wa raaytan nasa yadkuluna fii deenil Lahi afwajaa.

When Allah’s help and victory come.
And you see people entering Allah’s religion in multitudes.

Surah An-Nasr has 3 verses and was the last complete chapter of the Quran to be revealed. It was sent down during the Prophet’s Farewell Pilgrimage, about 3 months before he passed away.

This chapter shows that the Prophet’s mission was complete and successful. He had spread Islam throughout Arabia, and many people had become believers.

Just two years earlier, the city of Makkah was taken over peacefully, and the Ka’bah was cleansed of idols. Now, over 124,000 believers joined the Prophet on his final pilgrimage.

The Prophet’s mission was victorious, and he would often pray, “Glory be to You, Allah, forgive me and praise You.” This teaches us to always be humble and thankful to Allah when we succeed in life.

This chapter brings good news and guidance for the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). The good news is that Allah will help him conquer Makkah and many people will join Islam. This happened, and many former enemies became his supporters.

After the victory, Allah tells the Prophet to thank Him, praise Him, and ask for forgiveness. This shows the importance of gratitude.

There are also two hidden messages in this chapter. The first is that Allah’s help will continue if we thank and praise Him. This happened during the time of the early Muslim leaders, and Islam spread successfully. But when people disobeyed Allah, He sent division and disunity.

The second hidden message is that the Prophet’s life was coming to an end. Allah tells him to praise and ask for forgiveness, just like we do at the end of good deeds. The Prophet followed this guidance and repeated these words in his prayers, preparing to meet Allah.

Remember, gratitude and forgiveness are important, and Allah’s help is always available if we obey Him.
